A little about my health journey
I wanted to be two things when I grew up: a marine biologist and a doctor. I was set to go to my master’s in marine biology but then decided to pursue becoming an ND after years of struggling with Hashimoto’s disease and IBS for what seems like my whole life.
It finally all came to a head and I had enough of struggling with intense fatigue, brain fog, stomach pains so bad they would stop me in my tracks, spending most of my day tired on the couch in pain and feeling like I was missing out on life. I wanted more.
Conventional medicine didn’t have any answers for me and I was told to “watch what I eat” and that my “thyroid labs aren’t bad enough for treatment” (meanwhile I had every symptom in the book and only later found out I had an autoimmune thyroid disorder (Hashimoto’s) from my ND.
At this point, I decided to take my health into my own hands and fix myself since no one else was going to do it for me.
Fast forward a few years and here I am.
